Take care of your feet and your feet will hopefully take care of you. We will certainly go through more than one pair of hiking shoes on the over 5,000 miles of American Discovery Trail. Different terrain will require different levels of support, tread and style of shoe. We will continue to update our shoe selections as the miles go by.
The East Coast of the American Discovery Trail will offer hiking terrain that will vary from road walks to mountain paths. Randy and Sheri have decided to start their hike with shoes that would fit into a light hiker or trail runner type of category. Randy began his hike with the Montrail Hurricane Ridge XCR.

After 130 miles Randy changed into the Vasque Catalyst Mid GTX.
Sheri will begin her hike with the Montrail Vitesse.
